Rainbows End

What a way to spend a Sunday for $10. Year 7&8 students from all sorts of schools from Taupo up visited Rainbows End for a whole day. We started by hopping on a bus at Wellsford School. There were lots of kids from Tomarata and a few from Wellsford. We left at 8:00 am. It was 1 hour drive down to Rainbows End but it was worth it. When we arived we had to get a green paper tag on our wrist saying RAINBOWS END so we could get into the rides. The first things we saw were Rain and Bow. They are Rainbows Ends mascots. It was funny because they were break dancing. Before we could go on any of the rides we had to have a roll check and a time we had to get back to the gate. Then we were free. The first ride I went on was the pirate ship. The pirate ship is a ride that sways back and forth and you go realy high. My favourite rides would have to be the fear fall and the corkscrew. The corkscrew is a roller coaster that goes upside down, up high, around and around and best of all FAST!!!The fear fall is a 18 story pole. What you do is you're put in a seat and strapped in. Then you are lifted up the pole. When you get to the top you can see all of Auckland and before you can scream you're zooming down the pole at 80KM per hour. You're going so fast that your legs stick out and it feels like your head is going to fall off!
